About Julia Sorokina

Hello everyone! My name is Iuliia Sorokina, I am 22 years old and I come from Ukraine. I had finished Crimean Economic University. Department of International Economics. But I have found one more integral part of my life. It is social work. That is why I  have decided to take part in EVS program and came to Wroclaw.

Also I am interested in learning more about Polish culture and learning Polish language. I have already basic words and now I am motivated to keep going this way.

Now  I am working for MLC project just for 2 months and I will stay there 10 more months.The  main idea of my project is to represent my country through presentations and cultural events, make different workshops about intercultural learning , human rights topic. 



Also I am conducting free Russian classes. Everyone is welcome to join us J Classes will start on 7th of April.

Welcome to MLC blog!

Hello dear reader,

We are pleased to introduce you our new blog with content about the "Multicultural Language Café" (MLC) project.

Here you will be able to watch what is our work, keep abreast of our activities, and also make all the questions that you have.

So, what about Semper Avanti organization?


The Semper Avanti organization was established in 2000 by a group of young, active people involved in activities towards building an open society, interested in intercultural learning and sensitive to problems in their own society. One of the main aims of the organization is working on the civil activity of young people.

The main aims of the organization are:

• to promote international co-operation and understanding between young people from different countries and different cultures;
• to provide young people with the opportunity to gain international experience for their personal and professional development;
• to make young people aware of their cultural heritage, as the base of their awareness;
• to develop regional, national and European consciousness of young people;
• to promote volunteering- local and international, as a way towards active citizenship;
• to promote international co-operation and understanding among young people from different countries and cultures;
• to support interest of young people in historical and political reality in Europe;
• to encourage involvement of young people in cultural initiatives;
• to promote Poland and the Lower Silesia region in Europe.

The main development areas now are:

• Youth mobilites and EVS
• Youth in democracy
• Youth on labor market
• International Youth Exchanges
• Voluntary Service- national and international field
• Cultural Events
• Conferences, Trainings and Seminars for young leaders and youth workers
